Your Representative & Your Neighbor

Meet John

Dear Friend,

Thank you for visiting my website and for taking the time to learn more about my campaign.

I was born and raised in Watertown, and this district has shaped who I am.

I attended Saint Patrick's School and graduated from Watertown High School before earning my degree from Merrimack College in 1991. The values I learned growing up here—hard work, community, and looking out for your neighbors—have guided me throughout my life and public service.

My wife and I raised our five children here, and like so many families, we've experienced the joys and challenges of building a life in Massachusetts. Being a father has taught me the importance of creating opportunities for the next generation and making sure every family has the support they need to succeed.

Long before I was elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives, I was involved in our community as a volunteer, youth advocate, and local official.

I've had the privilege of serving on the Watertown Town Council since 2006, working closely with residents to solve problems and strengthen our community. I've also proudly served on the Board of Directors of the Watertown Boys & Girls Club, volunteered with Special Olympics, and spent countless hours as an IAABO basketball official. Those experiences have kept me connected to the people I represent and grounded in the everyday concerns of families across our district.

In 2011, I was honored to be elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives. For the past fifteen years, I've worked every day to be a strong voice for our communities on Beacon Hill. I've fought to improve access to healthcare, strengthen our public schools, support working families, invest in transportation and infrastructure, and make Massachusetts a more affordable and equitable place to live.

Throughout my time in office, I've believed that good government starts with listening. Whether it's a phone call from a constituent, a conversation at a local event, or a meeting with community leaders, I've always tried to approach public service with the understanding that every person deserves to be heard and every problem deserves serious attention.

I remain optimistic about the future of our Commonwealth. We face real challenges—from affordability and housing costs to ensuring quality healthcare and educational opportunities for all—but I believe we can meet those challenges when we work together and focus on practical solutions that improve people's lives.

Serving as your State Representative has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I am grateful for the trust you have placed in me, and I would be honored to continue serving our community.

Thank you for your support, your engagement, and your commitment to making our communities stronger.

Sincerely,

John

Raised here. Raised a family here. Fighting for our future here.
