As costs rise and federal threats to health care funding continue, residents deserve a representative who will protect care, strengthen local hospitals, and lower costs. As Chair of the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing, John has been at the center of some of Massachusetts' most important health care debates, bringing together providers, patients, advocates, and policymakers to deliver real results.

To lead on health care, John has:

• Protected Massachusetts health care from $3.5 billion in federal cuts

• Lowered out-of-pocket costs for life-saving prescription drugs

• Authored and passed legislation to prevent workplace violence against health care workers

• Secured an additional $234 million for hospitals, community health centers, and health care providers
